Nicollet County is hosting the
41st Annual Sheriff’s Mounted Posse Wagon Train
September 14, 2024
This one-day event is hosted by the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse, proceeds go to Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota & Donald D. Eustice Memorial Scholarship. The 41st Annual Wagon Train for Youth sponsored by the Minnesota Sheriff’s Mounted Posse Association is coming to Nicollet County this year.
The event will be held on September 14, 2024, at 37946 667 Avenue; New Ulm, MN
The site will be open starting at 4PM on September 13 (Friday) for participants and will close on Saturday evening (overnight camping allowed). The ride will be 14 miles. We will descend to the scenic Minnesota River Valley for a very scenic drive. Close to noon, we’ll ascend to a scenic overlook of the River Valley. Here we will have a Chuck Wagon lunch and restful social time. The ride will continue through a country road showing a diversity of farmland on our way back for a catered meal. You do not need a wagon to take part. Saddled riders are invited to follow the wagons.
Participation fees are $30 per person. Children younger than 11 years of age are $15. Money raised goes to Children’s Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota. Participation fees and donations may be sent to Nicollet County Sheriff’s Posse; P.O. Box 117; St Peter, MN 56082 .
A continental breakfast, Chuck Wagon lunch, and evening dinner will be served.
